Start/ finish : Vietnam/ Cambodia
Day 1: Arrive in Hanoi and begin Vietnam educational experience. Orientate tour of the 1000- year old capital on cyclo.
Day 2: Explore Hanoi’s historical landmarks and learn of the rich history and culture of Vietnam in the course of 3000 years. Have lunch with guest speaker, a Vietnam Veteran who returned for the mission of reconciliating and rebuilding Vietnam
Day 3: Take the overnight cruise in Ha Long Bay, a World’s natural wonder. Enjoy viewing the amazingly beautiful karst formation and taste the fresh seafood aboard your junk.
Day 4: Join the Tai Chi class in the early morning; visit the grottos and fishing villages by kayak or local fishing boat. This evening fly to Hue, a UNESCO cultural heritage site.
Day 5: Visit the Imperial City and Royal Tombs; take leisure cruise on the Perfume River to visit the most revered Thien Mu Pagoda and interact with novice. Dinner is hosted at the home of former princess.
Day 6: Drive to Hoi An ancient town and sightsee en route the tranquil fishing village of Lang Co, cloudy mountain pass, and the coastline of Da Nang. Take the walking tour of Hoi An and explore the cultural treasures dated in 17th & 18th centuries.
Day 7: Excursion to My Son archeological site to discover the lost civilization of Cham Pa. Hike in the valley and view the ruins of Hindu and Buddhist religions. Dinner is hosted by Prof. Neal Bermas, who teaches at NYU and the founder of Streets International.
Day 8: Fly HCMC (formerly Saigon) and experience the most bustling and commercial city in Vietnam. Visit the war remnant of Cu Chi underground tunnel, former Presidential Palace, and War Museum. Enjoy Saigon River cruise dinner.
Day 9: Fly to Siem Reap, Cambodia and home to the world-known Angkor Temples. Explore the stunning Angkor Wat and many marvelous religious monuments hidden in the jungle.
Day 10: Discover the Tonle Sap Lake for an overview on the river life of Khmer and Vietnamese ethnic people. Take a motorized boat cruise to see floating school, crocodile farms, and Buddhist monasteries.
