Day 1: Hanoi – Lao Cai – Sa Pa

In the evening we board the overnight train for the journey to Sapa mountainous town on the Tonkinese Alps

Day 2: In Sa Pa

Arrive at Lao Cai train station in the morning. Transfer to the hotel for breakfast, followed by a trek into through villages of hill tribes to learn about the local life and customs of various ethnic groups of Hmong and Dao. Return to the town for lunch at a local restaurant before exploring further the town.

Overnight in Sa Pa

Day 3: Excursion to Bac Ha Sunday Market

Depart in the morning for Bac Ha Town where hundreds of flowered Hmong people come for a bartering market session every Sunday. This is a great opportunity to know of the traditional old-timed trading method. After lunch, hike into the tribal villages before heading back to Sa Pa. Balance of the day is free at leisure at the pool.

Overnight in Sa Pa

Day 4: Sa Pa- Hanoi

Free in the morning until check-out and transfer back to Lao Cai City, which borders on China and is a very commercial town; orientation tour of the city including the old temple, the border gate to feel the Chinese side. Board the train for the overnight return to Hanoi.

Day 5: In Hanoi

Arrive in the morning and transfer to the hotel for early check-in and breakfast.
