Day 1: Flight to Luang Prabang
The half day city tour includes a visit to the former Royal Palace and several of Luang Prabang’s revered temples including Wat Xieng Thong, Wat Sen, and Wat Visun. Climb up to the top of Mount Phousi for a spectacular sunset view over the Mekong River.
Overnight in Luang Prabang
Day 2: Tour of Luang Prabang/ Mekong River Cruise
The morning cruise upstream the Mekong River offers us a panoramic view of the tranquil countryside of Luang Prabang. We will visit the mysterious Pak Ou Caves, housing thousands of gold lacquered Buddha statues of various shapes and sizes left by pilgrims; the local villages of Ban Xiengmene, a traditional pottery kiln village; and the royal temple at Wat Longkhoun. The afternoon city tour includes the oldest temple of Wat Sene and the magnificent Wat Xiengthong with its roofs sweeping low to the ground, which represents classical Laotian architecture; the National Museum (closed on Tuesdays) at the former Royal Palace, whose exhibits represent the Laotian monarchy’s history and culture. This evening we explore the Night Bazzar, where you can find a lovely ion of handmade textiles made by the hill tribes and local people surrounding Luang Prabang.

Day 3: Elephant ride for jungle exploration
After a short drive, we arrive at the Adventure and Elephant ecological camp located 15 km out of town in the middle of unspoilt, natural green surroundings. The adventure elephant ride leads us through the teak forests, plantations and fields. This provides you with a breathtaking and unique experience of exploring the dense tropical jungles, Nam Khan River and the waterfalls of Tad Sae. (In dry season we ride a village trail). Picnic lunch is served at the waterfall before return back to Luang Prabang city by afternoon. Balance of the day is for your own activities.

Day 4: Departure
Free in the morning for own exploration of this charming town. Transfer to the airport in the afternoon.
